Spiro's automated battery swap systems let riders exchange a depleted battery for a fully charged one in minutes — keeping you on the road without waiting for a traditional charge cycle.
How a swap works
- Ride to a Spiro swap station shown in the app or on spironet.com.
- Park in the designated swap bay and follow on-screen or staff instructions.
- Remove your depleted battery and insert it into the swap cabinet.
- Receive a fully charged battery and install it on your bike.
- Confirm the swap in the Spiro app if prompted.
Network scale
Spiro has performed tens of millions of battery swaps and operates 40,000+ batteries in its network across seven African countries — one of the largest swap ecosystems on the continent.
Tips
- Swap before your battery is completely empty to avoid being stranded.
- Check station hours in the app — availability may vary by location.
